PISTOL PERMIT COURSE (CT)

This Pistol Permit course consists of two parts:
CLASSROOM: (Approximately 3 hours)
Classroom instruction will consist of the following:
- Safety rules of firearms.
- Knowledge of firearms to include:
- Nomenclature
- Proper grip, use of sights, proper stance, and proper trigger control
- There will be a hands-on portion in the class where students will practice proper stance, grip, sighting, & trigger control
- Different types of handguns available on the market today
- Different types of holsters
- The laws governing firearms for the State of Connecticut, with hand-outs
- The classroom portion will end with a written test
RANGE:
Range instruction will consist of the following:
- Live-fire conducted at Wolf's Indoor Shooting Range (Bristol, CT)
Certificates will be handed out after the live-fire instruction has ended.
REQUIREMENTS:
Hearing and eye protection for the live-fire portion of the class are mandatory and can be provided upon request. Please indicate if these items are needed when registering for this course.
