The Defensive Pistol course is designed for anyone who plans to or is already carrying a pistol for the purpose of self-defense and/or personal protection. This course covers topics geared for the new shooter as well as the civilian who already carries a pistol. The learning curve for this course is steep.
Topics covered include lecture, demonstration, dry gun work, and range work.
Range work (live fire) will consist of the following:
*Slow fire, sights, and trigger work *Drawing from concealed carry positions *Shooting from cover *Alternate shooting positions *Multiple target engagements *Shooting while moving for cover *Contact shooting *Shooting drills designed to put all that is learned together.
Equipment list:
*Gun, unloaded, in a gun case. *At least two (2) magazines
*Holster of your choice *Minimum of 600 rounds
*Hearing and eye protection *Baseball-type hat.
*Knee and elbow pads are optional. *Zip-up jacket or sweat shirt to conceal weapon.
ALSO, we will not leave the range for lunch. Plan to have enough water and food to eat throughout the day.
